Delta is an innovative steerer tube design that’s exclusive to Cannondale. The unique v-shape enables cables to be routed internally while minimizing the headtube’s frontal area, resulting in sleeker looks and less aero drag than other internally-routed road and gravel bikes.

But it also brings some engineering challenges—notably, the issue of cables rubbing against the steerer tube, which can cause gradual wear over time. Our engineers found opportunity in this challenge, opting to craft the steerer’s top layer from Innegra. An exceptional fiber known for its lightweight structure, extreme durability and high impact resistance, Innegra both shields the steerer from abrasion and adds strength without adding extra weight. With our Innegra-enhanced Delta Steerer, we’ve created a design that’s both durable and elegant, capable of handling rough rides and cable friction with ease.
